Animals sometimes find ways to get trapped, intentionally or not. We have a team to help during livestock emergencies.
Disaster Team
We roll to help those affected by storms. We bring supplies and equipment to try and return some normalcy.
Medical
We are there for medical emergencies. Trained in life saving skills to give people the best shot at recovery.

Miccosukee Volunteer Fire and Rescue Has Been Saving Lives And Property Since 1978
Put together by concerned citizens to protect Miccosukee and Miccosukee Land Cooperative in 1979 both departments were built on heart with little to no funding. After merging in 1991, we are stronger than ever with 3 stations protecting 98 square miles in North East Leon County, Florida.

Ways We Serve In Your Area
Structural Fire Fighting
You have 8 minutes to evacuate a house once a fire is seen. Volunteers may be closer than you think to help.
Boat/Water Rescue
We have a 19' rescue boat with a swamp tail motor for access in really tough floor zones, lakes/ponds, and out own Lake Miccosukee.
Wildland Fire Fighting
Outside fires happen a lot. From a spark at construction to a well intentioned burn pile. We are there with 3 trucks with 7,250 gallons of water or even a gator ATV to get to hard to reach places.
Medical Emergencies
90% or more of our calls are from lightheaded to a cardiac arrest. We all trained on BLS skills to stabilize you and get you to the hospital.
Large Animal Technical Rescue
Storms, over turned trailers, or life can easily put a large animal in danger. We have a team backed with Leon County Sheriff Office to help any large troubled animal.
Community Safety
Whether it is birthday parties, county meetings, community awareness and training, we want to better everyone's life through education and support.
